I would like to mention that the game is a “Gacha Game”. With each patch, functionality of the mode has increased, so hopefully the development team shall continue building upon it in the coming months. With its focus on anime-style cel-shaded visuals, I was ecstatic logging in on launch day to find that the developers included a simple but easy-to-gasp screenshot mode in the game. Compared to most other “Gacha Games”, it is shaping up to be in a league of its own. Released on the PlayStation 4, PC, iOS and Mac gaming platforms in September 2020, Genshin Impact from the Chinese development team at miHoYo boasts a picturesque world and well-designed characters. I am undetermined if I will ever include her in my party… but gotta say… she is freaking adorable! But with 1,600 primogems on-hand, I tried a single pull… and manage to snag her first up. Given the public hesitancy around this character, as a heavy-healing-oriented character with a -100% buff to performing doesn’t really fall into the game’s current meta, I was not torn up about nabbing her. Today marked the day that developer MiHoYo moved Raiden Shogun from the featured character spot in their ‘Wish’ gacha system, replacing her with the hydro catalyst user Sangonomiya Kokomi. While I have historically had awful luck when it came to pulling characters in Genshin Impact, I guess my luck is shining a little bit brighter.
