The issue only seems to be when that cable is attached, and it shows a second display. If I unplug the USB-C cable and boot, everything runs off the egpu just fine with normal sleep function etc restored.
With the USB-C cable attached the system occasionally hangs, games crash, and I've lost the sleep function. I recently bought the monitor in the title, and I've run into several weird issues with duplicate displays.
